how I am doing mentally
a lot of people and friends I made were only here for one semester and now have already left. therefore I'm meeting a lot of new people here and socialize a lot. this is fun and interesting but also exhausting. I sometimes feel overwhelmed and have to tell myself that it's also okay to not be everywhere all the time. but overall I'm doing very well! like I said it is also nice to meet new people. I love that I feel home here and since time moves so fast I really try to enjoy every moment:)

new schedule at uni
since a new semester at university started the schedule changed. which is a very good thing, because now I have all my classes in the morning and almost every afternoon off as well as every tuesday off. on top of that the classes I take are way more interesting and also less challenging than last semester. I am very happy with the timetable because it allows me to do a lot of other things in the afternoon.

tried a new restaurant
a new restaurant opened in the city centre of odense. it's called hanzō and it's not completely new because there are already at least two locations one in aarhus and one in copenhagen. yet both Julia and I had never been before so we needed to try it!! the kitchen is some kind of asian fusion where the concept is to order a certain amount of small dishes and share them. the ambience of the restaurant was very nice and so was the food. I would definitely go back there!

a very fancy cocktail bar also opened recently. it's called bar nu and offers cocktails as well as small bites. I would say it is more on the pricier side for odense but the ambience is very cool and chic. they have very unique cocktails which I really like. I tried their sticky rice cocktail which was like a slushy with alcohol. I love when cocktails are sweet so this was perfect for me.

on saturday evening me and some friends went to look for a speak easy bar. a speak easy bar is a hidden bar which you can only access if you know exactly where it is. so we knew that there had to be a bar somewhere in this certain area and a facebook post of the bar stated this riddle. we tried to solve it but some things just didn't add up. so we started asking around and after asking a few people and accidentally sneaking around on private property we found out that there used to be this bar called molotov which had this speak easy bar underneath it but since molotov doens't exist anymore and a new bar is now in this location the speak easy bar is no longer existing. it was still fun and we then just went for drinks and had a fun evening!

while writing this weeks blog I noticed that the blogs from now on will differ from the ones I wrote up to now. this is just because of the fact that a lot of things here in odense and in my everyday life are not new to me anymore so that's why I also have less to talk about. nontheless I still enjoy writing and I will continue to write about all the exciting things going on in my year abroad:)
