how I am doing mentally

currently I have a very strong feeling of gratitude. and I am so happy that I get to not only know that I am grateful but also intensely feel it. I used to struggle a bit for the last half a year because I had a lot of things to be grateful for, being abroad and having this opportunity is certainly one of them, but I didn't FEEL the gratitude. I know that it is up to me that I can feel something like that, so I practiced gratitude a lot but it was only recently that this warm feeling of peace and joy returned. and I'm so happy!!
sushi next door

the place opposite from where I live got remodeled into a sushi restaurant, it is called nao sushi. from my room I can see the people dining and so julia and I thought we had to try it! the place looks very fancy. it has black furniture, a beautiful wooden floor and a small fire place. we were told when we were already sitting there that on weekdays the place only offers all you can eat, which was a bit unfortunate because we didn't go there with the biggest appetite. still we got the all you can eat and ordered our sushi. I have to say that they offer more fishless options than other sushi places which I loved. according to julia the traditional sushi was very delicious and the things I ordered where very yum as well. nontheless koi sushi, in my opinion, keeps number 1 place in odense.

trip to gothenburg
with julia
this trip to gothenburg was my first time staying in sweden for more than a day. and I have to say that the city is absolutely gorgeous. there's a lot of parks, a river through the city and a lot of beautiful buildings. the city is rather on the smaller side but perfect for a few days. what surprised me is that it is a lot cheaper in than in denmark which was nice! on the second evening we went to a restaurtant called gazette and we had the an incredible experience! the food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was great! everything was just perfect! another highlight of the trip was when we decided to take the tram to go outside the city center to the sea. on that day the weather was beautiful that's why we thought that was a good idea:) when we arrived we noticed that most of the people went straight to the harbour to get on a boat to different islands and we then spontaneously decided to get on one as well. we took the boat to brännö which is a small island half an hour away from the harbour on the mainland. already on the way to the island I was so impressed by the nature and the small houses we drove by. but when we arrived on brännö I almost could not believe the nature and scenery that was in front of me. it literally left me speechless because of the beauty and the calm, the quiet and the clean fresh air, the sun kissing our faces. I was living my pipi longstocking dream and something that day healed my soul. the island was, or at least as I imagine, a typical summer house island. all the houses were so colorful and had their own garden and sometimes their own little boats. I think there are no cars allowed on this island and that's why when you did not talk it was just quiet, you could even here the reeds in the wind. there it really felt like the world is still okay, it felt like you could escape reality for a day. it was soo peaceful and I loved every second of it! one day I really want to go back to one of those islands and spend a week in summer to live the island life!
