how I am doing mentally

this week was an eventful week. not the big events you imagine but a few very small and happy moments for me. this week our friend Meret lived with us from sunday until friday and we got to show her around. we did a lot of chill stuff and I noticed how I really needed that. just quality time with friends and soaking up all the moments we had together. as I already mentioned in a blog before it just does something to you when you are surrounded by your comfort people. the whole week I was just content and happy. and I really felt relaxed all the time. I'm also still working on taking things as they come and not trying to influence situations when I can't do anything about it anyway. that just is easier to do when I'm calm, relaxed and at peace.
purchase of the week

the purchase of the week would have to be my advent calendar from A.C Perch. it is a tea advent calendar with 24 different loose teas. and it is very beautifully made and it smells soo good. I'm already so excited to open all of these and I will be updating you on my favorite teas in december.
girlhood

this week I felt from deep within how I love being a woman. having girl friendships honestly is soooo valuable. being able to be vulnerable and talk about all your feelings and never having to be ashamed of anything is truly beautiful. that's what the time with Julia and Meret showed me a lot. being able to have such genuine connections is really special. I think especially in an exchange it is very hard to find people with whom you can be just yourself. so being able to be silly and dancing around in the kitchen singing at the top of our lungs was a tiny moment that in our situation just meant soooo much. every evening we had a girls night. we would first cook and then we tucked ourselves in in my bed and knitted/crocheted or watched childhood tv series. and eventhough most of the evenings were the same, every single one just meant a lot and healed our souls. sometimes it's just the little things that make all the difference.

tea time

I said I will be back for tea time at A.C Perch, so that happened this week. we made a reservation for wednesday afternoon because the tables inside are very limited. all of us got a pot of tea. I tried the Gyokuro it's a very high quality green tea from japan. we also got a scone with whipped cream and some sandwhiches. it was a very nice experience but on the pricier side. as I have mentioned many times before, tea and the whole experience around it just makes me unbelievably happy. this place is easily my favorite place in odense.

first knitting project done

after knitting for almost 1 1/2 months I'm finished with my first project. I made this very easy scarf out of marino wool and cashmere. I didn't turn out perfect but it's very comfortable to wear and keeps me warm:)
