trip to kerteminde

on monday two friends of mine and I visited a small village just by the sea which is called Kerteminde. the village was so cute because of the architecture of the houses and the small streets. it's starting to feel like every village/city in Denmark just has these tiny, colorful houses which make the place very charming. the weather was okay but since we were at the sea, it was very windy. one thing that still amazes me is that I now practically live by the sea and the beach!!

reformer pilates

you know how last week I talked about finding something that brings me joy and makes me feel peaceful again. this week I found myself in that calm state after doing reformer pilates for the first time. to be honest it was very demanding but it just felt so good doing something for your own body and mind. I just felt at peace! after this trial session I immediately knew that I have to continue doing reformer pilates. so I made a subscription:))
appreciating the weather

until now we mostly had sunny weather and it helped me a lot mentally! it's not very warm anymore but at least sunny! apparently it's the best late summer they had here since 10 years. I am very grateful that I get to experience that!

highlight of the week
together with some friends I went back to my beloved tea store to buy a new matcha whisk and then we decided to also have tea there. drinking high quality tea is one of my favorite things to do. I'm just so passionate about it and I love to educate myself on tea! I think I would even consider tea as a hobby:)
trip to svendborg

on saturday together with two friends I went to svendborg which is a port city and the second largest of the region fyn. the city had a lot to offer and was very vivid! there were a lot of people on the streets running errands or just meeting up and enjoying the nice weather. there was also a market on the city square where jewellry, ceramics and flowers were sold. I bought a silver ring hihi I couldn't resist. we also walked by what we thought was a park and it was huge and so beautifully arranged so we decided to walk through it. it ended up being a cemetry. but not a cemetry as you would imagine, not at all. rather a huge park kept up so well with a lot of different flowers, trees and plants. almost every grave had their own little garden or even their own trees. I have never seen something like that before. It was such a peaceful and beautiful place. we then walked through the city centre and there were so many small shops/ateliers where you can buy all these handmade things. I really loved that. all in all I would say that I liked svendborg better than kerteminde because there's just more going on here. I think I might be back here!
perfect sunday activity

on sunday the girls and I went to the creative space in odense!! it is such a nice place where you basically buy your pottery of choice, this could be a mug, a bowl, a tea pot and many more things and then you paint it. they have a wide selection of colors and utensils so you can be as creative as you want. I decided to paint a mug! and it was my first time doing pottery painting and I noticed how trying new things is somehow freeing because you know you don't have to be good at it. this sunday I will be able to pick it up and I will of course show you how it turned out!! the only thing that was a pity is that one slot is only 2 hours so you don't have that much time to paint because after two hours new people are coming. but other than that the experience was so nice and calming! and the fact that it started raining outside made it even better! so we all got cozy with a tea and our pottery:) I will definitely be back!
