week seven

odense boldklub

on monday our roomies took us to a football game of odense bk. to be honstest I'm not the biggest football fan and I also barely watch it but there's something about watching sports live that makes it 100 times better. It was very fun! I also felt like the football stadium was quite big and modern. in my very unprofessional opinion the level of the league is pretty good maybe comparable to the swiss super league (??) hihi I don't even know. what I like most about these events is the food and the atmosphere. so all in all very nice and I think we will also be going again:)

things that help me a lot with my mental health and make me feel better EVERYTIME
  • making a big cup of tea and drink it in bed
  • saying affirmations to myself
  • listening to the song beso by rosalía. I listen to it at least once a day and it keeps me going!!
  • listening to jay shetty podcasts
  • calling my loved ones! this will always remind you of your importance and that you are loved and appreciated. it is very easy to feel insignificant when you're not surrounded by people who show you everyday!

my boyfriend's first visit

after over a month of long-distance my boyfriend finally came to visit me and arrived on thursday in odense!! first of all I have to say that this is our first time doing long-distance and therefore these are very new circumstances for us. to some one month might not be long but for us it was. and I am SO SO grateful that we have the time and the financial resources to make visits happen! and honestly at first I didn't really believe all the people who said long-distance also has its positive aspects but the emotions you feel when you meet again are just so overwhelmingly beautiful! we really really enjoyed our time together!
how I am doing mentally and physically

on monday and tuesday I didn't feel so good physically I thought I was getting sick that's why I also didn't go to uni. I drank a lot of tea and took my vitamins and so on wednesday I was fit again! mentally I felt a bit at unease because I had to catch up on all the school stuff that I missed but I was also nervous/excited to meet my boyfriend. let's say I was just a bit overwhelmed. but that changed immediately as he arrived. it was so so nice to spend time with my favorite person in the world and just recharge my energies. I think I talked about it on here before but as a person that used to recharge by being with loved ones it was a big change for me to mainly recharge by myself here. so it was so nice to have my comfort person with me and let go of the thoughts and pressure. everything just felt so easy and I really needed that! so this week I ended up feeling very happy, content and at peace!
highlight of the week

my boyfriend and I had a beautiful date night. we dressed up and went eating out at this restaurant called kok & vin. we had a blast! there was this very romantic candle light atmosphere and the waiters were very friendly! both of us chose the beef tartare with fries as a main and we also ordered a bottle of red wine. my boyfriend also got salmon as a starter and we shared a creme brûlée for dessert. the food was amazing!! it was so delicious, the size of the portion was perfect and what I liked a lot was that the waiters would always explain to you exactly what you're eating when they brought it to your table. the total including the bottle of wine was CHF 116, which is very reasonable for the things we ordered! we laughed and talked a lot the whole evening and we sat there for about three hours just enjoying. we spent some good quality time and I loved every single minute of it!
